Vetus Maxwell Anchor Chain Stopper Height Matched for RC8 / RC10 Windlass (Vetus P104358)
The Vetus Maxwell height-matched anchor chain stopper (Vetus P104358) is specifically engineered for use with the RC series range of windlasses. Windlasses are not designed to hold the high loads transmitted through the chain when a vessel is at anchor; therefore, securing the chain with a chain stopper is essential. This model is height matched to the chain level of RC series windlasses, allowing direct installation without the need for packers or plinths.
By transferring the anchoring load away from the windlass, the stopper helps protect the windlass mechanism and prevents accidental anchor free fall while the vessel is underway. The pawl is shaped to match the chain profile, reducing potential damage to the chain galvanisation compared with traditionally shaped pawls.
