Vetus M445S---A - Mitsubishi 42 HP M4.45 Marine Diesel Engine Saildrive Compatible with STM6000
The 42 HP M4.45 Marine Diesel Engine Saildrive Compatible is a quiet and highly fuel-efficient boat engine. This reliable and rugged 4-cylinder engine offers a high power and torque ratio. With new features, modern appearance, and added benefits, this engine is designed to meet future market demand. All M-Line Diesel Engines are HVO approved and can be operated using more sustainable fuels.
Crafted for elegance and designed for performance, the 42 HP M4.45 Marine Diesel Engine is developed entirely in-house. It is compact, fuel-efficient, and powerful, rivaling the best engines on the market. Innovations over the years have led to major improvements. A key feature is the water-cooled top cover, which absorbs a lot of radiant heat from the engine and dispels it without affecting the engine room. As a result, room temperature stays 15-20°C lower (a 20% reduction) compared to other engines of similar size.
Additionally, to reduce engine noise, a casted aluminum top cover is directly mounted onto the engine body, along with a state-of-the-art air filter that reduces noise by 5 dB(A). When operating at speeds around 2200 RPM, the engine runs nearly silent, ensuring a more pleasant boating experience for you and your crew. The cover is also designed as a step for easier movement around the engine.
Equipped with a high-output marine alternator as standard, the 42 HP M4.45 Marine Diesel Engine ensures that the batteries recharge quickly. It also meets all SOLAS requirements.
The M-Line engines are approved for use with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), a lower-carbon fuel that is a more sustainable alternative to diesel. HVO contains low sulfur and aromatics, and its use reduces exhaust emissions by up to 90% in CO2, CO, HC, NOx, and PM.
