Vetus LMX500 - Flexible Engine Mount Type LMX500

This engine mount was designed with special consideration of the weight/power ratio of modern diesel engines, since the weight of modern machines is compared to performance is constantly decreasing. Type LMX guarantees optimum damping even when idling. Due to its high rigidity in the longitudinal direction of the ship, it is also suitable for absorbing large thrust forces, with excellent damping properties thanks to its high elasticity in the transverse direction of the ship.

This flexible engine mounting is suitable for marine diesel engines in the power range between 70 and 350 kW (95 - 480 hp). It has a maximum load of 500 kg. The Vetus type LMX500 flexible engine mounting has been designed to help in optimizing the power-to-weight ratio of modern diesel engines. To achieve this optimization, the weight of an engine in comparison to thrust is becoming lower and lower.

For these engine types, the Vetus type LMX flexible engine mounting possesses the following ideal characteristics:
- Ample vertical compression guarantees optimum vibration damping, even at idling revs.
- A very high level of horizontal fore and aft stiffness allows for considerable thrust.
