The Vetus BL30/1500 stern tube assembly is a bronze water-lubricated stern gear component for GRP or wooden vessels, supplied with an outer cutlass bearing aft and an integrated rear mounting flange for installation. It is specified for a 30 mm propeller shaft diameter and has a tube length of 1500 mm. The tube includes slots intended to simplify cutlass bearing replacement, and water lubrication can be arranged either via an optional G3/8” water scoop kit (WCAPS) or by tapping water from the main engine’s raw water-cooling circuit using the ZWBKIT (T-piece 18-10-18 mm, 3 m of 10 mm hose DWHOSE10A, and four hose clamps).
