The Jabsco 8860-0001 Mini-puppy Flexible Impeller Pump is designed for efficient water transfer and robust performance. This pump features a durable bronze construction and a Lip Type seal, paired with a 12 Volt DC motor. With a nominal flow rate of 1.8 GPM (6.8 LPM), it excels in various applications. It is self-priming from a dry state up to 4 feet (1.2m) and can lift water up to 15 feet (5m) once primed. Ensure suction lines are airtight to maintain self-priming capability.

The motor is a 12-volt DC Permanent Magnet Type, fully enclosed with a stainless steel shaft. It draws 4 amps and requires a 10-amp fuse. The motor operates at temperatures up to 180 degrees F (82 degrees C) and complies with USCG Electrical Standards for ignition protection on gasoline-powered vessels. The design of the pump minimizes issues with small bilge debris and features fewer wearing parts due to its simple construction.

It is essential to mount the pump in a dry location as the motor is not waterproof and should not be submerged. Choosing a cool environment can help extend motor life. The pump can be installed in any orientation, but ensure that water dripping from the port connection does not contact the motor. The pump head is rotatable 180 degrees to change the direction of flow. The temperature range of the pumped liquid should be between 45 degrees F (7 degrees C) and 160 degrees F (71 degrees C), with normal operational pressure not exceeding 35 feet of head (15 psi).

Note: The pump is not suitable for handling gasoline, solvents, thinners, or other flammable liquids.
