The Jabsco 8600-0002 is a High Pressure Sanitary flexible rubber impeller, specifically designed for hygienic applications requiring elevated temperatures. Made from 3A Sanitary Food Grade EPDM, this impeller meets strict sanitary standards, ensuring safe and effective operation in food and pharmaceutical processes.
This impeller features 12 blades, with a width of 4-5/8 inches (117.5mm) and a thickness of 3-1/2 inches (88.9mm). It is equipped with a 1-inch (25.4mm) Epoxy Plastic Double Flat shaft hub, ensuring secure attachment and reliable performance.
The EPDM material is suitable for temperatures ranging from 60°F (15.6°C) to 185°F (85°C), making it ideal for various hygienic applications. Although EPDM impellers offer a reduced flow rate—approximately 10% lower than standard performance—they excel in handling both low and high-viscosity liquids, gels, and pastes. Their design allows for the smooth and steady transfer of liquids, including those containing suspended solids, without causing damage to shear-sensitive or fragile materials.
