The Vetus BOW7512/24D Thruster can be safely used in situations where gasoline engines and electric PUs are employed simultaneously. Vetus offers a protective device to meet ISO 8846 Marine Standard requirements, known as the "fire fighting version." This device includes a watertight (IP65) casing for the electric motor and relay, seals, electrical connectors, fasteners, and an automatic fuse. It ensures safety by preventing sparks from the electric motor that could ignite gasoline vapor. The fire fighting versions are available for nose tilting units with thrusts of 55, 75, 95, and 125 kgf for both 12V and 24V systems and can also be used as feed PUs with appropriate mounting kits.
