Plastimo Dyneema™ soft shackle loops developed as lightweight, flexible alternatives to stainless steel shackles for racing and cruising boats. Dyneema™ provides an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, with soft shackles typically 5 to 10 times lighter than metal shackles of equivalent resistance. They allow silent manoeuvres, avoid corrosion-related seizure or loss of a shackle pin, and flex freely when connecting blocks to pad eyes, booms and other fixed attachment points. Available in Ø3-6 mm with lengths from 80 to 140 mm and SWL values up to 1000 kg.

Plastimo Dyneema™ Soft Shackle Loop 3-6 mm, 80-140 mm
Plastimo Dyneema™ Soft Shackle Loops are lightweight textile alternatives to conventional stainless steel shackles. Originally widely used on racing boats, soft shackles are increasingly used on cruising yachts for rigging connections where low weight, flexibility and easy handling are important.
Dyneema™ is a high-tech fibre offering an excellent combination of strength, low weight and softness. For equivalent resistance, a Dyneema™ soft shackle can be approximately 5 to 10 times lighter than a stainless steel shackle.
