The Marlow Excel Racing is a high-performance sailing rope featuring a 12-strand Dyneema® SK78 core and a high-strength 16-plait polyester cover, developed for racing yachts and professional sailing applications. Ideal for halyards, low-stretch sheets, reefs, trim lines, and other high-performance control systems, the rope combines exceptionally low stretch, excellent clutch holding performance, flotation, and easy splicing. The removable cover also allows tapering for additional weight reduction. Available in diameters from 1.5 mm to 6 mm, supplied on 100 m reels, with breaking loads from 139 kg to 2,056 kg.

Marlow Excel Racing Dyneema® SK78 Performance Rope – 1.5–6 mm

Marlow Excel Racing is a premium high-performance sailing rope designed for racing yachts and demanding sailing applications where low stretch, lightweight construction, and precise sail control are essential. The rope combines a 12-strand Dyneema® SK78 core with a high-strength 16-plait polyester cover, providing outstanding strength while maintaining excellent handling characteristics.

Designed for halyards, low-stretch sheets, reefs, trim lines, and a wide range of professional sailing applications, Excel Racing delivers excellent holding performance in rope clutches while remaining easy to splice. The removable polyester cover allows tapering to reduce weight where required, while the Dyneema® SK78 core provides exceptional stretch resistance and buoyancy.

Smaller diameters are intended for lightweight applications such as whipping and Optimist sail ties, while larger diameters are ideal for performance sheets, halyards, and control lines.
