The Optiparts EX1061WR is a training-oriented Optimist sail designed for sailing schools, offering enhanced functionality with an integrated reef eye. Manufactured from strong 3.8 oz high-quality 100% Dacron sailcloth, it ensures durability and long service life under intensive use.
The reef eye allows the boom position to be raised, creating additional headroom for the sailor. This feature improves comfort and safety, particularly for beginners and in training environments.
The sail features a sleeve pocket along the luff, allowing the mast to be inserted directly into the sail without the need for traditional sail ties. A cut-out is included for the sprit halyard block to ensure proper rigging.
It has a loose foot configuration and is equipped with webbing loops at both the tack and clew for boom attachment. The sail is constructed without battens, simplifying handling and maintenance.
This sail is best used with the fixed sleeve school mast set EX1053. Mast extenders (10 cm and 20 cm) can be used to further adjust rig height and create additional space.
