Digital Yacht ZDIGAIT1500 - AIT1500 Class B Transponders
The Digital Yacht ZDIGAIT1500 AIT1500 Class B Transponder is a compact yet powerful solution for vessel tracking and safety. Equipped with both NMEA 0183 and USB outputs, it seamlessly integrates with a wide range of AIS-compatible chart plotters and software. Featuring convenient features like a remote silence button option, multiple NMEA 0183 inputs and outputs, integral USB cable, and status LEDs, the AIT1500 is perfect for small boats seeking reliable AIS functionality.
Configuring your vessel's fixed data, such as MMSI, call sign, and boat name, is effortless with the included proAIS2 software compatible with Windows and Mac systems. Once configured, the transponder provides AIS data to compatible navigation software or dedicated chart plotters from major brands like Garmin, Raymarine, Navico, Standard Horizon, and Furuno.
In addition to transmitting your vessel's position, the AIT1500 receives AIS signals from other vessels within its range, typically up to 30 nautical miles, when connected to an existing VHF antenna via a splitter or dedicated AIS antenna. For optimal performance, especially on sailing yachts, the SPL1500 Splitter with "Zero Loss" technology is recommended to utilize the boat's existing VHF antenna for maximum range.
*Please note that in the US, dealer programming is required.
It's important to consider installation factors such as antenna gain, height, and ground plane size, as they affect AIS target range similar to VHF range. Ranges exceeding 20 miles are achievable under ideal conditions.
