The Digital Yacht ZDIGAIS100P AIS100PRO AIS Receiver is an excellent entry-level device suitable for use with PC navigation software and chart plotters, including the latest models from Garmin, Raymarine, Navico, Standard Horizon, and Furuno. By connecting it to an existing VHF antenna (via a splitter) or a dedicated AIS antenna, you can effectively receive all AIS targets within a range of up to 30 nautical miles. Its simple plug and play USB connection allows seamless integration with a PC, utilizing standard drivers built-in to Windows XP/Vista/7 and automatically mapping to an available “virtual” com port for easy access by PC software. Moreover, it is also compatible with Mac OS X and all LINUX Kernels since V2.4.20.

The AIS100 Pro features dual NMEA0183 and USB output capabilities, enabling the supply of AIS data to a PC (via USB) and a dedicated plotter (via NMEA) for larger installations. By connecting the NMEA (4800 baud) output of your GPS to the AIS100Pro, it automatically multiplexes (merges) the slower GPS data with the high-speed AIS data, transmitting everything on the high-speed NMEA output (38,400 baud). This makes it perfect for connecting to a chart plotter with only one NMEA input.
