The Blue Sea 8236 DC Digital Ammeter is a high-range panel meter designed to measure current flow from −500A to +500A in DC systems. It is suitable for marine and vehicle electrical installations operating on 8–32V DC supplies. The meter features a splashproof front for panel mounting, adjustable display brightness with three levels, and a manual sleep mode to minimize energy use when continuous monitoring is not required.
The unit is supplied with a 500A current shunt. In its standard configuration, the meter operates on the negative side of the circuit. For positive-side installations, such as alternator measurement, a shunt shifter is required.
