The Blue Sea 3003 HD-Series Heavy Duty Selector Battery Switch with AFD is designed for reliable control of onboard battery systems where alternator protection is required. It allows isolated battery banks to be switched to all loads or combined when needed.
This model includes an Alternator Field Disconnect (AFD), which protects alternator diodes if the switch is moved to the OFF position while the engine is running. The make-before-break contact design ensures uninterrupted power during battery switching.
The switch is ignition protected and safe for installation on gasoline-powered boats. Its robust housing supports both surface and rear panel mounting and accommodates high-current battery cables.
