The Vetus Bullflex Type 1 Flexible Coupling (Part: BULFL011) is designed for marine propulsion shafting with a 1" shaft diameter and up to 19 hp at 2:1 gear reduction (15 hp at 2.5:1), operating at 3600 RPM. It features a highly flexible rubber element that absorbs torsional vibrations, compensates for up to 2° angular misalignment, and ensures silent transmission without backlash. The coupling provides galvanic isolation between engine and shaft, excellent shaft centering, and includes a built-in thrust damper.

Vetus Bullflex Type 1 Flexible Coupling for 1" Propeller Shafts – Marine Vibration-Dampening System
The Vetus Bullflex Type 1 flexible coupling is engineered to improve comfort, reliability and drivetrain longevity in marine propulsion systems. Its pre-tensioned flexible rubber element efficiently absorbs torsional vibrations and accommodates shaft misalignment up to 2°, while maintaining accurate shaft centering even in reverse gear. The unit also provides galvanic separation between the engine and propeller shaft, helping prevent corrosion.
