Vetus ZASA11/2C Shaft Collar Zinc Anode for 1 1/2 Inch Propeller Shaft
The Vetus ZASA11/2C shaft collar anode is engineered to provide effective cathodic protection for marine propeller shafts with a diameter of 1 1/2 inch (38.10 mm). Manufactured from high-quality zinc in accordance with MIL-A-18001K, this anode ensures accurate fit and dependable performance in marine environments.
The two-piece construction incorporates an interlock system in both halves, guaranteeing perfect alignment during installation. Even as the anode erodes over time, this system prevents it from coming loose on the shaft. The anode is secured using four bolts, providing stable mounting and consistent electrical contact.
Shaft anodes are not recommended for high-speed vessels, as they can create turbulence in the water flow around the propeller and may cause imbalance of the propeller shaft as they wear. These issues do not occur when using a VETUS propeller nut with an integrated zinc anode.
