Vetus Sonitech Noise Insulation Panel 600x1000 mm
The Vetus Sonitech Noise Insulation Panel is designed to offer excellent soundproofing with a single damping layer. Available in thicknesses of 35 mm and 45 mm, these panels are ideal for applications where lightweight, cost-effective solutions are needed without compromising on performance. The panels are available in two types: aluminum and white, providing versatility for different installations.
These panels meet BS4735 fire resistance standards, ensuring reliability in various environments. They come in a standard size of 600x1000 mm and feature a self-adhesive backing, making them easy to install without the need for additional adhesives. The acrylic-based self-adhesive layer offers strong adhesion to steel surfaces, with an adhesion strength of 1000 N/m according to ATM.1-PSTC.1 standards.
VETUS Sound Insulation: VETUS provides a comprehensive range of soundproofing materials, from the simple Sonitech Light to the advanced Prometech Double, all meeting high-quality standards. These materials are waterproof, fire-resistant, and utilize the latest insulating foam technologies, ensuring superior performance in marine applications.
Core Materials: VETUS sound insulation materials are based on a combination of advanced materials, which form the basis for the four main product lines. Each line offers different thickness options to suit various insulation needs.
- Material Types: Aluminum, White
- Thickness Options: 35 mm, 45 mm
- Size: 600 x 1000 mm
- Fire Resistance: Compliant with BS4735 Class 0
- Self-adhesive Back Surface for Easy Installation
- Lightweight and Cost-effective Solution
Fire Resistance Standards: The panels comply with BS476 Class 0, ensuring they do not allow flame propagation and limiting heat generation during combustion. This standard includes:
- BS476 Part 7: Surface Flame Propagation, Class 1
- BS476 Part 6: Fire Spread, Index I < 12 & I1 < 6
Usage Guidelines:
- Machine Room Preparation: Cover as much surface area as possible with sound insulation material. Use liquid sealant or foam to fill any small gaps or holes to ensure soundproofing efficiency.
- Installing Sheets: Make a pattern in the engine room and cut the sheets accordingly. For tanks, it is advisable to isolate them with the same material or construct a "box" around them.
- Hatches and Vents: Seal the connections between hatch frames and the deck. For vents, create a "maze" for air passage while preventing noise transmission.
