The Vetus P105048 Windlass 2500 HWC, 12V 1200W, part of the Maxwell series, is engineered for automatic horizontal handling of chain-only anchor rode. It features an independent winch for hauling in a secondary rope and chain rod or assisting in docking operations.

- Functional front and rear rope pulling with independent, knurled, snag-free stainless steel warp drum with sprocket clutch disengagement for positive control of all ropes

- Chain tube assembly
- Cone-shaped clutch/brake mechanism allows for manual anchoring in 'free fall'. Cone clutches offer smooth, progressive engagement ensuring safe and precise operator control
- Sprocket pawl to assist with independent warping drum use
- Simple deck-mounted installation with no below-deck parts
- Simplified maintenance by allowing the landing gear (sprocket and drum) to be removed from the windlass without disturbing the windlass attachment
