With Vetus, the pumps and cylinders are interchangeable, offering flexibility in finding the optimal balance between price and performance. While smaller pumps come at a lower price, they require more revolutions to change course, so it's essential to consider this aspect when selecting. The cylinder size is determined by the rudder torque. Available for single and dual control, the cylinders are supplied with flexible hose ends and bleed nipples for quick system changes and bleeding. The cylinder base features a universal joint, and the piston rod has a rotatable head. The axial plunger pump boasts 7 plungers and a 25 mm / 1” large stainless steel pump shaft, reinforced for large steering wheels. Both the cylinder and pump can be supplied separately to suit individual needs.
