Optimal damping of vibrations
The Bullflex coupling by VETUS is the solution to the increasing demand for enhanced driving comfort. Specifically developed for optimal vibration dampening, it efficiently mitigates torsional vibrations that occur during load changes or as a result of an unevenly running engine, especially at low speeds. The super-elastic rubber element with puncture protection (axial and radial) ensures a backlash-free, noiseless, and vibration-damping connection between the motor and the 1 ¼" propeller shaft. With advantages such as very high flexibility, excellent vibration damping, and the ability to tolerate a 2º deviation, this coupling offers a reliable and high-performance solution. Noteworthy features include outstanding shaft centering, even during reversing, a removable centering ring, and a built-in dynamic pressure bearing. The absence of a conical clamping hub facilitates perfect centering and easy assembly/disassembly.
Specifications
- Models 1, 2, and 4 have a 4" connection
- Models 8, 12, and 16 have a 4" connection and 5" connection
- Model 32 has 6 threaded M16 holes on a pitch circle diameter of Ø120.65mm / 4.7" for mounting the clutches on most transmissions (Hurth, Velvet, TD, ZF, and P.R.M.)
- VETUS also supplies the necessary attachments for mounting the Bullflex to the gearbox. This clutch is not suitable for V-drives
