This impeller is specifically made for elevated temperature hygienic applications up to 185 F and fully complies with current hygienic standards. It is also compatible with certain ketone solvents. To prolong the life of the pump when pumping corrosive products, it is recommended to flush the pump with water after each use. The temperature range for this EPDM impeller is 60 degrees F to 185 degrees F. Lower temperatures may affect its priming ability and performance, resulting in a 10% decrease in flow rate. These EPDM impellers are softer and can handle both low-viscosity and high-viscosity liquids, gels, and pastes. They are also able to pass suspended soft and hard solids with minimal damage.
