EPDM material is suitable for use with some ketone solvents, though pump life can be extended by flushing with water after each cycle when dealing with corrosive products. This impeller operates efficiently within a temperature range of 60°F (15.6°C) to 185°F (85°C), though performance may decrease at lower temperatures and rated flow might be reduced by about 10% below listed pump performance. The Jabsco EPDM impeller is capable of handling both low and high-viscosity liquids, gels, and pastes, and can pass soft and hard solids with minimal wear.
