The Jabsco 3890-9011 is a versatile pedestal pump designed for efficiency and durability. It features a bronze construction with a Neoprene impeller and a carbon/ceramic mechanical seal, ensuring reliable performance for various applications. The pump is equipped with 3/4 inch NPT ports and operates with a bare shaft, meaning a motor is not included with this unit.

With a nominal flow rate of 11.3 gallons per minute (43 liters per minute) at 1750 RPM, this pump is capable of priming at both low and high speeds. For effective operation with a vertical dry suction lift of up to 10 feet (3.0 meters), a minimum speed of 800 RPM is necessary. When wetted, the pump can achieve a suction lift of up to 22 feet (6.7 meters). It is crucial to ensure that suction lines are airtight to maintain the pump’s self-priming ability.

The Neoprene impeller is suitable for water and general-purpose pumping, and the pump can be mounted in any orientation. The position of the intake and discharge ports is determined by the rotation of the pump shaft, which is typically assembled for clockwise rotation when viewed from the end cover. The temperature range for the Neoprene impeller is from 45°F to 180°F (7°C to 82°C). This pump relies on the liquid being pumped for lubrication; therefore, it should not be run dry for more than 30 seconds to avoid damage to the impeller and other components.
