The Jabsco 30550-0015 is a high-quality 316 stainless steel pedestal pump designed for versatility and efficiency. This pump features a flexible impeller made of neoprene and a mechanical seal composed of carbon, ceramic, and nitrile. It includes 1-1/2 inch ACME threaded ports with a bevel seat but is supplied without a motor.
Ideal for handling a range of liquids, including low and high-viscosity substances, gels, and pastes, the Jabsco pump can manage suspended soft and hard solids with minimal damage. Its output flow is smooth, steady, and free of pulsations, ensuring gentle handling of shear-sensitive or fragile liquids. The pump is designed for easy in-place cleaning or straightforward disassembly and cleaning, offering a cost-effective alternative to many other pump types.
This pump is self-priming and operates effectively at both low and high speeds. For a vertical dry suction lift of up to 10 feet with the neoprene impeller, a minimum speed of 860 RPM is required. When the pump is wet, it can achieve a suction lift of up to 22 feet.
The operating temperature limits of the pump depend on the impeller material. For neoprene impellers, the temperature range is from 45°F to 150°F (7°C to 65°C). It is crucial to ensure proper lubrication by having liquid in the pump at all times; running the pump dry for more than 30 seconds can damage the impeller.
