The Jabsco 30530-2103 is a high-quality 316 stainless steel Flexible Impeller pump end designed for durability and performance. It features a Nitrile Impeller and a Tungsten Carbide Mechanical Seal. This model includes 1-1/2 Inch NPT Internal Ports and is sold as a pump end only—motor not included. For optimal operation, pair this pump head with a NEMA 184 TC-frame C-face motor, rated at 5 HP with 1750 rpm and capable of handling high-axial loads. The motor should be equipped with a front ball bearing locked against axial movement and must deliver a minimum of 14.5 ft-lbs and 43 ft-lbs of torque in forward and reverse directions, respectively. This pump is ideal for applications requiring single or variable speed operation and is constructed from stainless steel for added resistance to corrosive substances. It offers a self-priming capability with a flow rate of 50 GPM (189 LPM) and is tolerant to debris. The Nitrile impeller is suitable for oil-based products, offering a vertical dry suction lift of up to 10 feet and a wetted suction lift of up to 22 feet. Ensure that suction lines are airtight to maintain self-priming functionality. The Nitrile impeller operates effectively within a temperature range of 50 to 180 degrees F (10 to 82 degrees C). Stainless Steel flexible impeller pumps are particularly advantageous for self-priming and are highly effective in pumping viscous or air-entrained liquids. At lower speeds, they gently handle delicate liquids. These pumps can manage liquids with viscosities up to 20,000 cps, provided there is chemical compatibility with the pump materials. They are suitable for pumping corrosive chemicals, alcohols, solutions, inks, dyes, paints, pigments, viscous adhesives, thickeners, and raw materials. Please note that this pump is not intended for flammable liquids such as gasoline and is not explosion-proof. Running the pump dry is also not recommended.
