Introducing the Jabsco 30520-5003, a high-performance epoxy plastic pump designed to meet your demanding pumping needs. This durable pump is ideal for various applications where single or variable speed operation is required.
The Jabsco 30520-5003 features a flexible impeller made from nitrile, coupled with a carbon/ceramic mechanical seal. It includes 1-inch NPT internal ports and is paired with a powerful 1-1/2 horsepower, 1740 RPM motor. The motor operates at 115/230 volts, is single phase, and is Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) for efficient performance.
This self-priming pump can achieve a flow rate of 22 gallons per minute and is tolerant of debris. It can self-prime at both low and high speeds, requiring a minimum of 860 RPM for a vertical dry suction lift of 10 feet (3m). When wet, the pump can produce a suction lift up to 22 feet (6.7m). Ensuring airtight suction lines is crucial for optimal self-priming capability.
The pump relies on the liquid being pumped for lubrication, so it should not be run dry for more than 30 seconds to avoid impeller damage. The operating temperature limits are determined by the impeller compound, with nitrile impellers suitable for temperatures ranging from 50°F to 180°F (10°C to 82°C). Nitrile impellers are particularly well-suited for oil-based products.
The rotation of the pump shaft determines the intake and discharge port locations. The pump is typically assembled at the factory for clockwise rotation when viewed from the end cover. Note that the motor is not explosion proof and should never be run dry.
