This mechanical seal is designed for Jabsco pumps and features a robust construction for reliable performance. It includes a Carbon Rotary Face/Primary Ring, an 18-8 Stainless Steel Retainer, an 18-8 Stainless Steel Spring, and Nitrile Bellows/Elastomers. The seal is compact and unitized, with a single spring and bi-directional capability. The one-piece design ensures quick and straightforward installation and replacement.
The seal's full-convolution Nitrile elastomer bellows offer excellent flexibility, accommodating shaft movement and wear. Torsional stress on the bellows is managed by a dent and groove positive drive system. A precision surface finish enhances the seal’s service life and reliability. The Nitrile elastomer drive ring ensures a secure fit on the shaft, eliminating the need for set screws or drive pins. Additionally, the coil spring and ferrules maintain consistent face loading under extreme conditions.
