This pump is closely coupled to a 12-volt DC motor, which is a reversible permanent magnet type. The motor includes an integral reversing switch and fuse, drawing 7 amps and requiring a 10-amp fuse. The pump has 3/4 inch garden hose external ports, making it convenient for many standard setups.

With its wet impeller, this pump delivers a suction lift of approximately 3 to 4 feet (0.9 to 1.2 meters) and can achieve a lift of around 10 feet (3 meters) when properly primed. For optimal performance, ensure that suction lines are airtight to enable self-priming. Note that the pump must not be run dry, as the liquid being pumped also serves as the lubricant for the impeller. If the liquid flow stops, shut off the pump immediately. It is crucial to avoid running the pump against a closed outlet, such as a garden hose shut-off nozzle.
