The Jabsco 17360-1001 is a reliable and efficient cooling pump designed for marine engines. Constructed from durable bronze and featuring a Neoprene impeller, this pump is specifically engineered to ensure optimal performance in demanding marine environments.

The pump is equipped with 2-1/2 inch flange type ports, making it suitable for Caterpillar engine models D-336 and D-353. With minor modifications, it can also be adapted for use with the Caterpillar D-343, Detroit Diesel V-71 and V-92, and some Stewart and Stevenson marinizations of Detroit Diesel engines.

This self-priming pump can operate effectively at both low and high speeds, providing instant pumping with dry suction lifts of up to 3 meters (10 feet), and up to 8 meters (25 feet) when wetted. This capability allows for cleaner and safer installations. It is crucial to ensure that suction lines are airtight to maintain the pump's self-priming ability.

The intake vacuum suction pressure should not exceed 7 inches of mercury (178 mm Hg), and the discharge pressure should not exceed 20 PSI (138 kPa), with a typical pressure range of 12-15 PSI. Exceeding these limits can cause damage to the impeller. The Neoprene impeller relies on the liquid being pumped for lubrication, so avoid running the pump dry for more than 30 seconds to prevent impeller damage.
