Installation Instructions:
- Position flange gasket on bearing housing of the pump.
- Align drive gear with pump drive coupling.
- Slide the pump assembly into position and secure it to the adaptor flange using six (6) 3/8-16 x 1" stainless steel bolts, flat washers, and lock washers.
- Position port adaptors on the pump to check if minor plumbing modifications are needed for proper hose alignment.
- Once plumbing alignment is correct, secure the port adaptors with eight (8) 3/8-16 x 3/4" bolts and lock washers.
- Attach hoses to the port adaptors using two (2) hose clamps on each connection.
Operation Instructions:
- The pump will self-prime at low or high speeds. Ensure suction lines are airtight, or the pump will not self-prime.
- Intake vacuum should not exceed 7 inches of mercury (178mm Hg).
- Discharge pressure should not exceed 20 psi (138 kPa) to avoid impeller damage. Typical discharge pressure is 12 – 15 psi.
- Ensure the impeller is properly lubricated by the liquid being pumped. Do not run dry for more than 30 seconds, as this can damage the impeller.
- Winterize the pump by loosening the end cover screws to drain water from the pump.
