The Vetus BOWHMD Hydraulic Bow Thruster offers exceptional flexibility in terms of installation and operation. It can be integrated into your existing hydraulic system, utilizing a hydraulic motor driven by a hydraulic pump. Some marine engines, like VETUS DEUTZ, can provide engines with a Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft, simplifying the installation of a hydraulic pump.
If preferred, these thrusters can also be powered by a dedicated diesel engine (Powerpack), which comes with its hydraulic pump. This alternative setup can significantly reduce the power requirements of your onboard generator, as hydraulic control systems are used instead of electrical ones.
