Python-Drive is a complete drive system for yachts, sloops, and workboats of all shapes and sizes. The system eliminates the need for periodic alignment of the engine and propeller shaft. It also nullifies the annoying axial drive reactions between the engine and the propeller shaft, transferring the thrust pressure smoothly to the hull of the ship using a special suspension of the thrust bearing in rubbers.

The heart of every Python Drive is the maintenance-free CV joint drive shaft, which is designed for all versions of the system. The large, maintenance-free thrust bearing is centered by a clamping ring, ensuring the propeller shaft stays aligned directly behind the CV joint drive shaft. This allows for constant rotation of the propeller shaft, even at unequal angles, which reduces wear on rotating parts. The system also features a very short installation length. All necessary installation materials are included, such as adapter flanges for common gearbox types, a robust thrust bearing unit, and all necessary bolts, nuts, lock washers, and rubbers.

Python Drive systems are available in various shaft diameters ranging from 19 mm to 100 mm, including inch sizes. Special conical shaft fits can also be supplied upon request. Separate CV joint drive shafts for torques up to 1,500 Kgm (approximately 14.7 kNm) are also available, as well as lengthened axles for custom installations. Additionally, the thrust bearings can be supplied separately and easily mounted anywhere on the propeller shaft.
