AxiSeal® Standby Propeller Shaft Seal, Shaft Ø35-45 mm
The AxiSeal® is a state-of-the-art propeller shaft seal designed for water-lubricated systems. Unlike conventional seals like gland gaskets or lip seals, the AxiSeal® utilizes a unique sealing method.
- Features a rotating sliding ring that moves with the propeller shaft, pressed against a stationary Silicon Carbide (SiC) sliding ring by a spiral spring.
- Offers low friction between the sliding surfaces, extending the service life thanks to a lubricating water film.
- Optional "Stand-by" Seal for enhanced functionality, ensuring watertight sealing during maintenance.
- The "Stand-by" Seal can be mounted between the shaft flange and the AxiSeal, inflated using an air pump.
- Allows for disassembly and replacement of AxiSeal parts while keeping the vessel afloat.
- Available for propeller shaft diameters of Ø35 to Ø185 mm (1" to 7¼").
