These 3-way diverter valves are designed to direct the flow from the CENTER port to either side (the center port must serve as the inlet for proper operation without leaks or seat compromise). Flow from the center is configured to follow an L-pattern, either to the left or right. However, by adjusting the handle position, flow to "both" sides can be achieved, although it may result in reduced flow and potential seat compromise.
