When it comes to safeguarding your exhaust system against critical temperatures, the Vetus XHSM Sensor is your best ally. With Vetus, you can ensure the well-being of your vessel.

Reduced cooling water volume due to water intake clogs or damage to the water pump impeller can lead to a rapid increase in exhaust temperature, surpassing the engine temperature. To mitigate this risk, it is highly recommended to incorporate a Vetus gas exhaust temperature sensor into your exhaust system. This sensor is seamlessly connected to an alarm system, providing both visual and audible alerts when the exhaust hose or silencer temperature exceeds safe levels. Please note that the temperature sensors for insertion into the exhaust hose or water lock/silencer, as well as the alarm unit, must be ordered separately.

In cases where two motors are installed, these sensors can be conveniently connected to a single alarm system if needed. Furthermore, a single sensor can serve multiple alarms, making it a versatile solution for setups such as a secondary control station. The annunciator has an installation size of Ø 52 mm, with an external size of Ø 62 mm, and is available in versions suitable for both 12V and 24V systems.

Choose from two sensor types: XHSM for installation on a silencer and XHSH for installation on a hose. Please note that the XHI alarm unit is ordered separately to complete your system.
