Vetus MV Exhaust Modular Muffler, specially designed for high-performance yachts with powerful engines. This plastic check valve silencer is engineered to achieve noise reduction through its modular chambers, effectively minimizing noise levels. With a generous capacity of 11.5 liters, it offers modular options for hoses with diameters of 90mm and 100mm (11.5L) or 127mm and 152mm (37L). This gas vent system is tailored for high-speed vessels with powerful engines, where space constraints limit the installation of traditional water locks or goosenecks.

Key Features:

All parts are constructed from synthetic (anticorrosive) materials.
Significant reduction in gas exhaust noise.

Includes stainless steel mounting brackets (AISI 316).
The transom options are stainless steel (type TRCSV) or synthetic material with a stainless hoop (type TC), both equipped with protective valves.
The MV silencer features a hole for a temperature sensor (sold separately).

Please note that the MV muffler can only be installed if the transom nozzle is positioned at least 5 cm lower than the engine's exhaust nozzle. This design ensures that water injected into the exhaust duct will drain away from the engine when it's stopped, preventing any water from reaching the engine.

Both the transom nozzle and the muffler are equipped with a valve (damper) to prevent the flow of cooling sea water into the engine under all circumstances, eliminating the need for additional goosenecks.

For added engine protection, each MV muffler can accommodate a temperature sensor in a pre-prepared opening. This sensor activates an audible signal if the exhaust gas/water mixture exceeds the permissible temperature, providing an early warning of potential cooling system issues. Vetus diesel engines come standard with this temperature sensor.
