Vetus SPP Shore Power Protector
The Vetus SPP Shore Power Protector is an intelligent device designed to protect your yacht's electrical system from overloads when connected to shore power. In the event of an overload, the SPP protector issues a warning signal and disconnects the onboard electrical network from the onshore power source before the shore-side fuse is tripped. This helps prevent damage to your yacht’s electrical systems and ensures that your appliances operate smoothly without causing a power surge.
One of the standout features of the SPP Shore Power Protector is its ability to handle large startup currents without issue. This makes it ideal for protecting your yacht’s electrical system when powering high-demand appliances like refrigerators, air conditioners, and other inductive loads.
