The Orion-Tr 24/24-17A DC-DC Converter is designed to efficiently convert 24V DC to 12V DC, making it ideal for various mobile applications that require stable voltage output.
- Remote On-Off: Eliminates the need for a high current switch in the input wiring. Can be operated with a low power switch or the engine run/stop switch (refer to manual).
- Adjustable Output Voltage: Can function as a battery charger for 12V starter or accessory batteries in a 24V system.
- Short Circuit Proof: All models are designed to be short circuit proof and can be paralleled to increase output current, allowing for an unlimited number of units to be connected.
- IP43 Protection: Protection rating when installed with screw terminals oriented downwards.
- Screw Terminals: Installation requires no special tools.
- Input Fuse: Available on 12V and 24V input models only.
An increasing amount of electrical equipment is used in mobile applications, most of which is designed for 12V DC. Therefore, a DC-DC Converter is necessary to reduce the voltage from 24V DC to 12V DC. Sensitive equipment requires a stable 12V output, which the 12V-12V converters provide to ensure constant voltage, regardless of battery charge state.
All models with adjustable output can also serve as battery chargers, capable of charging a 12V starter or accessory battery in a 24V system. They can be paralleled to increase output current, allowing for the connection of up to five units.
