The Barton Nautilus Composite Winch is an innovative and versatile alternative to conventional aluminum winches, offering significant advantages in terms of weight, cost, and maintenance. These winches are available in three models to cater to different needs: Type 8, Type 16, and Type 32. The Type 8 model offers a simple 8:1 gear ratio, while the Type 16 features a 1:1/2.15:1 gear ratio for added versatility. The Type 32 offers a higher gear ratio of 1:1/1:3, making it suitable for more demanding tasks. These winches are ideal for yachts up to 10m (30ft) or as spinnaker/halyard winches on larger vessels.
The Barton Nautilus Composite Winch also features color-coded top rings in red, blue, and green, making it easy to identify and control lines, designate port or starboard sides, or match the boat's color scheme.
