The Harken HKDSDBK2 Digital System Switch sets a new standard for the reliable operation of electrically-driven yacht systems. Designed with robust protective measures, it ensures dependable performance even in harsh marine environments.
This switch uses waterproof control buttons that encode electrical signals into a binary format, preventing unauthorized activation. Unlike analog systems that continuously transmit electrical signals, the binary encoding only allows signal transmission when verified by the decoder, minimizing risks from wiring damage or water ingress.
Each control button is protected by concealed watertight seals, shielding them from potential damage due to sun exposure and extended use. Additionally, the system requires synchronization of two command switches under each control button before a signal can be transmitted, ensuring added reliability.
The Harken Digital System Switch is built to withstand impact, wear, and abrasion. It is available in two material options: black polyamide resin or stainless steel. The integrated lighting ensures visibility in low-light conditions, making it ideal for night-time operation.
This dual-function switch is housed in a compact system that controls functions such as 1st/2nd gear for winches, up/down for anchors, and in/out for furling.
