The Harken HK2150 Double Block 40mm Carbo T2 is a revolutionary sailing block designed with no metal shackles or rivets, making it the lightest and most durable soft-attach block in Harken's range. This high-strength composite block offers two attachment options: the T2 Loop and the T2 Block, both of which enhance versatility and performance for a variety of sailing needs.
The T2 Loop style provides a simple, tool-free connection, eliminating the need for knots, splices, or additional hardware. You can easily slide the loop through the block head and over the anchor post for a secure attachment. The T2 Block, on the other hand, allows users to tie, splice, or lash the block to nearly any structure, providing further flexibility in its application.
Both options reduce the load on the sideplates by routing the attachment line through the block head and sheave, serving as a backup for the system. This design ensures that the block remains lightweight while maintaining strength and stability during operation.
Equipped with composite sheaves that spin on ball bearings with curved bearing races, this block ensures smooth, low-friction rolling. The sideplates, made from fiber-reinforced high-strength nylon resin, contribute to its exceptional durability. Furthermore, all components—sheave, sideplates, and ball bearings—are UV-stabilized to ensure longevity, even under harsh sailing conditions.
The Harken HK2150 Double Block 40mm Carbo T2 is ideal for applications such as traveler controls, mainsheet and vang systems, cascades, and bridles, and can handle a maximum working load of 317kg. With a breaking load of 952kg, it is built to handle tough conditions while maintaining reliable performance.
