The high-strength composite T2 represents the first block with no metal shackles or rivets, making it the lightest soft-attach block designed by Harken.

Two styles are available for T2 blocks: one utilizing a loop and the other employing a length of line. Both methods guide the attachment line through the block head and sheave, thereby reducing the load on the sideplates and serving as a backup for the system. Soft attachments articulate to align with the load for a fair lead, which effectively diminishes friction.

The composite sheave rotates on ball bearings equipped with curved bearing races to ensure low-friction rolling. Additionally, composite sideplates, constructed from fiber-reinforced, high-strength nylon resin, further contribute to the durability of the product. Ball bearings, sheave, and sideplates are UV-stabilized to prolong their lifespan.

T2 Loop eliminates the need for knots, splices, or tools. Users simply slide the loop through the block head and over the anchor post for a secure connection. T2 Loops are available in 40 mm and 57 mm single sizes, and each package includes a SK75 Dyneema loop. Replacement loops are also available.

T2 block, on the other hand, offers versatility as it can be tied, spliced, or lashed to nearly anything. It finds application in various scenarios including traveler controls, mainsheet and vang systems, cascades, and bridles, among others. T2 is available in 29, 40, and 57 mm sizes, with a length of line included in each package.
