Clamcleat CL816 - Cage for CL814
An accessory, the Cage, facilitates cleating and uncleating ropes at an angle of up to 70 degrees, rather than solely in line with the cleat.
When adding Cages to cleats equipped with Keepers, the helmsman or crew can swiftly, easily, and securely adjust a control line from varied positions without concern for inadvertent cleating.
To engage, simply pull the rope back at an angle, guided smoothly down into the teeth, as depicted in the sketches.
The stainless steel rear fairlead ensures durability, even under demanding racing conditions.
The CL816 cage is compatible with a CL814 keeper and the following cleats:
- CL203 Nylon Junior
- CL236 Alloy Roller Fairlead Mk1 Cleat
- CL211 Mk1 Alloy Racing Junior
