The award-winning CL815 Keeper expands the capability of conventional Clamcleat rope cleats, designed to prevent accidental cleating and improve performance by securely holding lightly-loaded lines in the jaws of a cleat when mounted upside down.

When utilizing a cleat fitted with a Keeper, the operation and performance undergoes a complete transformation, with an easier lead-in making cleating a line simpler and a satisfying and positive click as the line is released or cleated.

These benefits enable Clamcleat rope cleats to be utilized on control lines that require frequent adjustment, preventing halyards or control lines from falling back into the cleat and re-cleating, particularly useful for actions such as dropping a spinnaker during a race or the mainsail when unrigging ashore. A patent has been applied for this innovative Keeper.

Use for Land Fill Covers

To prevent covers from moving, bury the surface deep and lead ropes up through holes in the sheeting. By attaching a CL211 Mk2 cleat and CL815 Keeper to a steel plate, ropes can be securely held, facilitating easy tensioning during membrane installation and re-tensioning as the landfill settles over time.
