Clamcleat CL259 - Racing Fine Line (Port)
The Clamcleat CL259 - Racing Fine Line (Port) features a slit stop and is designed for rope measuring 3-6 mm in diameter, with dimensions of 70x21 mm and a center-to-center distance of 49 mm. Its silver color distinguishes it and indicates its suitability for the left-hand side.
The tooth design of this CL259 Racing Fine Line (Port) enables a quick, positive lock that is easy to release, making it an ideal cleat for adjusting leech lines on larger sails, especially considering its low profile and ability to hold high loads.
When riveting a cleat onto fabric, it's recommended to use a backplate to prevent the rivet from pulling through. The CL259 can be mounted in two positions and can be sewn or riveted to the sail. Typically, it's fitted to the starboard side of a sail for tensioning leech lines.
This cleat is also utilized for industrial sun blinds and finds application on sailing dinghies as a low-profile deck cleat and for rudder downhauls. Manufactured from Aluminium, it ensures lightweight construction.
