How to Choose the Right Engine for Your Boat

Power: It is generally recommended to have 1 kg of thrust for every 45 kg of total weight, including the boat, fuel, occupants, and equipment. If you frequently fish in strong currents or windy conditions, consider adding an additional 4.5 kg of thrust.

Mast length: To determine the correct mast length, measure from the top of the bow (where the engine will be mounted) down to the waterline, and then add 50 cm to this measurement. The ideal mast length should be at least equal to the sum of the two measurements.
