The Dometic SeaStar PA6020 combines the SeaStar PA1200-2 and the SeaStar AP1233 to significantly reduce steering wheel torque in manual hydraulic steering systems while providing an autopilot pump. This system, when paired with the SeaStar Power Assist (PAA), makes steering easier even in standby autopilot mode. The high-efficiency hydraulic gear pump operates with minimal vibration and noise, ensuring smooth steering operation for both outboard and inboard applications.

The SeaStar PA6020 is an electronically controlled hydraulic pump that boosts the fluid sent from the helm pump to the steering cylinder. This results in much easier steering effort, even under heavy loads. A compensating line connects the PAA unit to the helm pump, allowing it to share fluid with the helm reservoir, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.

SeaStar PA6020 Compatibility:

The PA6020 is designed for use in recreational marine applications with SeaStar hydraulic steering systems. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use the PA6020 with SeaStar 1.4, 1.7, 2.0, and 2.4 cu in helm pumps.
