The PSS 07-35M-214 Maintenance Kit is essential for maintaining the integrity and performance of your 35mm shaft system. Regular inspection and replacement of components are crucial for optimal operation and longevity.
As with any rubber or silicone hose located below the waterline, the PSS bellows should be inspected periodically for signs of wear, aging, or chemical damage. PSS Seal recommends replacing the bellows every six years. During replacement, it is also advisable to change the o-rings, set screws, and hose clamps. The PSS Maintenance Kit includes all necessary replacement parts.

PSS Seal advises that while replacing the bellows, you should also replace the o-rings and set screws within the stainless steel rotor, as well as the hose clamps. Typically, the carbon stator and stainless steel rotor do not require replacement.
Can I re-use my set screws when making an adjustment or removing the PSS Shaft Seal?
No, the set screws provided with the PSS Shaft Seal are cup-point set screws, which compress onto the shaft when tightened. Re-using these screws will prevent proper locking onto the shaft. The PSS Maintenance Kit comes with five new set screws for this reason.
