The PSS 07-35M-212 Maintenance Kit is essential for maintaining the integrity and performance of your PSS Shaft Seal. Regular maintenance ensures long-lasting reliability and optimal operation.
Regular inspection of the PSS bellows is crucial, as rubber or silicone hoses below the waterline can show signs of wear, aging, or chemical deterioration. PSS Seal advises replacing the bellows every six years. During this replacement, it's also important to change the o-rings, set screws, and hose clamps. The PSS Maintenance Kit provides all necessary replacement components.
Included in the kit:
- Bellows - 1 qty
- Nitrile o-rings - 2 qty
- Set screws - 5 qty
- Hose clamps - 4 qty
- Tube of Thread Lock - 1 qty
- Allen key - 1 qty
PSS Seal recommends replacing the bellows every six years. Additionally, during the replacement process, ensure to replace the o-rings and set screws in the stainless steel rotor, as well as the hose clamps. Typically, the carbon stator and the stainless steel rotor do not require replacement.
It is not advisable to re-use set screws when adjusting or removing the PSS Shaft Seal. The included cup-point set screws are designed to compress onto the shaft when tightened, and re-using them may prevent proper locking. The PSS Maintenance Kit includes five new set screws for your convenience.
