The PSS 07-30M-112 Maintenance Kit is essential for ensuring the longevity and proper functioning of your 30mm shaft system. Regular maintenance is crucial to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance.

Regular inspections of the PSS bellows are necessary to detect signs of wear, aging, or chemical deterioration, especially since they are made from rubber or silicone and are used below the waterline. PSS Seal recommends replacing the bellows every six years. Additionally, during this replacement, it's advisable to also change the o-rings, set screws, and hose clamps. The PSS Maintenance Kit provides all necessary replacement parts for this process.

PSS Seal strongly advises that during the bellows replacement, the o-rings and set screws in the stainless steel rotor should also be replaced, along with the hose clamps. Typically, the carbon stator and stainless steel rotor do not require replacement under normal conditions.

If you are considering reusing set screws during adjustments or removal of the PSS Shaft Seal, it's not recommended. The set screws included with the PSS Shaft Seal are cup-point set screws, designed to compress onto the shaft for a secure fit. Reusing them may prevent a proper lock onto the shaft. The Maintenance Kit includes five new set screws for your convenience.
