PSS 07-100-134 - Maintenance Kit For 1" Shaft

The PSS 07-100-134 Maintenance Kit is essential for ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of your PSS Shaft Seal. Regular maintenance is crucial to prevent wear and deterioration, especially in environments where sulfuric acid or ozone may accelerate rubber degradation.
- Stern Tube Diameter: 1-3/4" to 1-7/8"
To maintain the integrity of the PSS bellows, inspect them regularly for signs of wear, aging, or chemical damage. It is recommended to replace the bellows every six years. During replacement, also replace the o-rings and set screws in the stainless steel rotor. Be cautious not to reuse set screws as they are designed for single-use only. The kit includes five new set screws for this purpose. If you do not have spare set screws, reverse the existing ones so that a new cup is compressed onto the shaft.
